The eared rectangular white marble top with pierced gallery above a frieze with a large drawer. The fall-front encloses thirteeen small drawers, and the lower part opening with two doors to reveal  strongbox.

The secretaire is adorned with gilded bronze neoclassical escutchons, paterae and angle mounts. It rests on four small tapering feet.

The quality of locks and mahogany is remarkable.
